Surgical Dermatology
Surgical Dermatology addresses the removal of unwanted benign or malignant growths of the skin. We value the comfort of our patients during these minor procedures, and utilize the latest surgical approaches to achieve optimal results.
Skin Cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanomas require skill and precision for complete removal. Many skin cancers may be excised in our office, however complex cases are referred to specialized Mohs surgeons.

Cysts
Cysts are benign nodules that usually grow slowly under the skin, but may cause pain, discomfort, or an unsightly appearance.
Mole Removal
There are many varieties of moles. Many moles are completely harmless, and others are, or may progress into, something harmful. We complete full evaluation of all moles, and will counsel you if removal is recommended. Cosmetic removal of benign moles may also be chosen by a patient to enhance the appearance.
Keloids
Keloids are exuberant growths of scar tissue which can occur at the site of piercings, trauma, or even surgical sites. There are effective medical treatments for keloids, however, excision may be considered in certain anatomic sites..
Lipomas
Lipomas are benign growths of fatty tissue under the skin. Although mostly asymptomatic, if they cause discomfort, or are in an area of cosmetic concern, removal may be considered.
